The New York Knicks currently have the second-worst record (11-48) in the NBA, nicely positioning themselves for one of the bottom three spots that’ll give them a 14 percent chance of scoring the first overall in the new lottery system for this year’s draft. With 22 games remaining, the Knicks have entered the home stretch of their full tank mode season, and sometimes, to ensure that you successfully boost your odds, you have to take the tanking into your own hands.
During Sunday’s game against San Antonio Spurs, Kevin Knox and Dennis Smith Jr. went up for a defensive rebound and had the ball “accidentally” go through their own basket.
People admired the next level of tanking that the Knicks are pulling off.
