Kodak Black apologized for rapping that he’d punch City Girls‘ Yung Miami in the stomach while freestyling from jail. Miami is pregnant with producer Southside‘s child and Black admitted his off-the-cuff remarks crossed a line.
“I bought Yung Miami a ring, she bought an 808 baby/When I see her, I’ma hit that bitch in her stomach/The way I keep this shit too real they say I’m fucking up my money,” he rapped.
Black tweeted apologies to both Southside and Yung Mami before deleting them.
“#YungMiami Gimmicks Are For Suckas,” he wrote. “As I Sit Back I Realize How Petty That Move Was And As A Man It’s Certain Things We Refrain From.”
Black added he has no beef with Southside and wished the couple the best.
“Ain’t no smoke with you bra, fuck that lame shit,” he wrote. “I pray y’all have a healthy baby and a prosperous life. Besides, bitch, we got more hits to make.”
The apology came after Southside reacted to Kodak’s offensive lyrics. He went after the rapper in an Instagram Story, putting him down for being in jail in the first place.
Kodak seems fully ready to put this chapter behind him, going so far as to ask Southside to put a beat behind the freestyle.
