Fittingly, Yung Miami is the star of Kodak Black‘s new “Christmas in Miami” video.

The holiday-themed clip arrives just as Kodak’s sophomore album Dying to Live becomes the Florida artist’s first Billboard 200 chart topper. The 16-track album bagged 89,000 equivalent units during its first week of availability, with roughly 5,000 of those in pure sales. The album’s streaming strength was no doubt boosted by Drake’s recent words of praise:
The album’s release was marked by Kodak’s return to The Breakfast Club, during which he discussed the inspiration behind the album’s title and alluded to his walkout from an Ebro Darden interview when faced with an inquiry about his alleged sexual assault case. “I don’t see that,” he said when Charlamagne asked about “all the charges and stuff” he faced. “Ain’t nothin’ worse than death. I don’t see that. I just walk around, I got big wings . . . I don’t think I’m going. I don’t think that’s in my future no more. I think I did enough for that. I could have just stayed in jail. Why even let me come home?”
