LeBron James Trolls Critics Who Said Lakers Gave Up Too Much for Anthony Davis

The Lakers traded away almost all of its young core to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis. At the time of the trade, several pundits believed that the Lakers gave away too many pieces just to get one player in return. But the Lakers are now sitting atop the Western Conference, and LeBron James isn’t a forgetful king.
On Friday night, Davis put together a monstrous performance against his former team. He raked in 46 points, 13 rebounds, and three steals to help lead the Lakers past the Pelicans. This outing against a team comprised of the Lakers’ former core led LeBron to take to his Instagram story where he gloated about being on the right side of the trade.
“We still gave [too] much for him huh,” ‘Bron wrote next to a graphic showing AD’s stat line. “Monster! Bro you different.”
James has been doing pretty good as the #WashedKing. Although he’s been a great passer his whole career, some fans questioned if he would be able to be the Lakers’ floor general. James has responded by averaging 11 assists this season; he handed out 15 dimes with just two turnovers on Friday.
