It was just a matter of time before Lil Baby teamed up with Future.
On Thursday night, the Harder Than Ever rapper unleashed “Out the Mud,” his first collaborative track with Future. Baby announced the release on social media, as fans patiently await his next full-length project.
In a January interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Future was asked which rapper was the current GOAT of trap music. The ATL rapper dropped two names: Gunna and—you guessed it—Lil Baby.
“Who the GOAT, now? I don’t know. What you mean by, ‘Who the GOAT now?’ From what, the music or the money?” Future said. “Music? I give it to Lil Baby. Lil Baby and Gunna […] I already did what I did. I done been the Trap GOAT. I’m solidified. But right now, they them dudes. They the next dudes to get the new deal, the new money, the new this, the new that.”
With that kind of co-sign, it’s no wonder the two eventually linked up.
