Lil Pump Getting Called Out for Mocking Asians With New Song Preview

Written by on December 17, 2018

Lil Pump is no stranger to controversy, but in a new preview of a song called “Butterfly Doors,” the “Gucci Gang” rapper has caused quite the stir. Many fans have called out Pump for the lyrics on the preview, which features some pretty racist comments as well as a gesture.

“Butterfly door, they call me Yao Ming cause my eyes real low, ching chong,” he raps in the clip, while stretching his eyes. Unsurprisingly, people have been offended by the last part of the preview in particular, with some demanding an apology. Pump himself has yet to address his actions, but considering his track record it’s unlikely he’ll say anything more about it until the song drops at least.

Pump didn’t give any indication on when to expect the new song, but the clip has already gone viral, insuring that at some point he’ll have to face the music regarding his comments. “I was gonna say this could be a banger until heard the ching chong yikes,” wrote one fan.

Others have excused the lyrics, citing Pump’s “reckless” nature, asserting that it’s just a joke. Regardless, it seems most folks weighing in are unhappy with the 18-year-old rapper.
