Lil Uzi Vert Drops ‘Eternal Atake’ Single “Futsal Shuffle 2020”

Lil Uzi Vert‘s “Futsal Shuffle 2020” track is here.
The Philly rapper teased the record on social media last month, claiming it would appear on his long-awaited studio album, Eternal Atake. Uzi told fans the single had an official dance, which he said would “take over 2020.”
Shortly after the announcement, Uzi posted a snippet of the track along with a brief demonstration of the “Futsal Shuffle” dance moves. To no one’s surprise, Uzi ignited a full-fledged dance craze.
Even DJ Drama, whom Uzi recently put on blast, participated in the dance. But Uzi clearly wasn’t flattered.
“Futsal Shuffle 2020” is a quintessential Uzi track, as he delivers cocky lines about private jets, money, designer labels, and stealing other dudes’ girls
“I’m on some whole other shit I got a whole ‘nother rich/I’m on a new level I was fucking on your bitch,” he raps. “She was ridin’ on my dick, she ain’t need two pedals … She save my name in her phone/Only thing she save me under is prolly that ‘U’ letter.”
He also seemingly references his ongoing beef with DJ Drama and Generation Now: “I’m runnin’ through obstacles, I made it home /Woah, stop that, told a fuck n***a, ‘Just drop that’/If you shoot first, we gon’ pop back.”
Uzi is likely referencing the hold up on his Eternal Atake album, which was reportedly finished more than a year ago. After expressing regret over his record label contract, Uzi suggested Generation Now was stalling the album as a form of retaliation: “”If you want your album 2 drop Number One Rule don’t hang with the boss girlfriend,” he wrote in an Instagram story.
DJ Drama has insisted he and Don Cannon, the co-owner of Generation Now, are not prohibiting Uzi from releasing Eternal Atake.
“Uzi should put EA out tomorrow or any day he wants,” the producer wrote on Instagram. “He has me & Cannon’s total support and blessings to drop it.”
Uzi has suggested Eternal Atake would arrive soon, but has yet to announce an official drop date.
“We Gonna Party so Hard In No Time #EA,” he tweeted just days before he teased “Futsal Shuffle 2020.” That post was kicked off with a lengthy tweetstorm in which Uzi took aim at a number of his collaborators as well as DJ Drama, the co-founder of his Generation Now label. Uzi called the music executive “broke” and claimed the only way DJ Drama could pay his bills was by dropping Uzi’s music. The tweets directed at the label boss have since been deleted.
