Lil Uzi Vert Recently Wrapped Work on ‘Last Song’ for New Album

Written by on May 13, 2019

Eternal Atake soon come?

We’ve had variations on this theme numerous times in recent months, but hopefully this is the real deal. At this weekend’s Rolling Loud festival, Lil Uzi Vert—whose mysterious new album has notably gone through multiple iterations—informed fans he recently finished up “the last song” for the delayed collection of exultation.

“I ain’t gon’ lie,” Uzi told the crowd. “The other night I finished the last song to the album. Ain’t this about a bitch? So y’all ready for this motherfuckin’ album? Nah, it don’t sound like y’all ready. That sound like y’all ready for somebody else’s album. I said, y’all ready for my album? OK. Bye.”

See footage of the moment in question below. And for anyone in the comments still going on about the crowd supposedly being lame, keep in mind that livestreams of live performances of this size often turn down or even completely mute audience noise in the mix.

Last month, Working on Dying manager Finesse revealed to Genius that Eternal Atake, at that point, had undergone as many as 11 different versions. “He records every day,” Finesse said of Uzi, whose “Sanguine Paradise” was produced by Working on Dying’s Oogie Mane and Brandon Finessin. “But he’s not gonna put it out until he feels like every one is to his liking, and sometimes that pace is gonna be slower than what his fans like.”

Eternal Atake chatter recently became complemented by whisperings of a possible blink-182 collab, though no either artist has directly confirmed or denied any such song is in the works. Last year, Uzi was declared “the new blink-182” by ASAP Ferg.
