Lil Wayne Cancels ‘Rolling Loud’ Performance Due to Mandatory Security Checks

Lil Wayne was set to continue his post-Tha Carter V run at Rolling Loud on Saturday. But it wasn’t to be: Weezy canceled his performance at the last minute due to security issues.
Just as fans were gearing up for Tunechi’s set, Wayne tweeted a public apology about not taking the Audiomack Stage. He said the venue’s insistence that he submit to mandatory policing rubbed him the wrong way. “I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job,” he said.
There will be other chances to see Lil Wayne, though. He also reminded his supporters that they will still have a chance to see him live on tour with Blink-182 this summer.
Lil Wayne wasn’t the only Rolling Loud star who got in police trouble. Kodak Black was arrested prior to his Saturday night set when officers executed arrest warrants for federal and state firearm charges.
