Listen to Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats’ Collaborative Project ‘Unlocked’
Written by SOURCE on February 7, 2020
Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats have dropped off their collaborative album, titled Unlocked.
The joint album is the result of the two artists locking themselves in for a 3-day studio session—and follows Denzel’s first visit to Kenny’s studio for the season one finale of the producer’s YouTube show, The Cave.
The pair have also released a 24-minute short film as an accompaniment to Unlocked. Created by Psycho Films, the movie documents Denzel and Kenny’s adventure into the internet to race after their leaked album, and trails them as they navigate through a number of animated worlds to retrieve each track from their album.
Last year, Denzel released his widely-acclaimed album Zuu, while Kenny released his collaborative tape with Rico Nasty, Anger Management.
