Meek Mill dropped his new song “Letter to Nipsey” featuring Roddy Ricch. Listen to it below.
After the song was released, Meek tweeted that all proceeds will go to the late rapper’s family.
Meek dropped the song after debuting it at Sunday’s Grammys during a wider Nipsey Hussle tribute.
“And I ain’t finna sit here and act like I’m your main homie/But when we lost you it really put some pain on me,” Meek raps in the song’s opening verse. “Got me scared to go outside without that thing on me/When everybody went against me you ain’t change on me.”
In August of last year, Meek paid tribute to Nipsey with a chain made in his honor. “I’m forever gone rep #teamkings#forevernip,” he wrote alongside an Instagram post of the chain.
“Bothers my soul because nip was flawless! Shit is unbelievable man… he deserves a million man march or something.. things just can’t go back to normal after this lost!,” Meek wrote after learning about Nipsey’s untimely death last year.
