Travis Scott is warming fans up for this weekend’s big game.
The Houston rapper will headline the Planet Pepsi Super Bowl Party in Atlanta tonight, just days before the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots go head-to-head at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In addition to musical performances by Scott and special guests, the one-of-a-kind event will feature multi-sensory experiences as well as projection mapping.
For those who couldn’t secure tickets to tonight’s show, Pepsi will livestream all the action via iHeartMedia. You can check it out above.
Scott is also expected to perform at the Super Bowl half time show this weekend, alongside Atlanta native Big Boi and headliners Maroon 5. The 2019 halftime show has been mired in controversy, as many people have called on the participating artists to step down from the gig in support of Colin Kaepernick. The former 49ers QB is locked in a legal battle with the NFL, which he claims colluded against him to keep him out of the league. Kaepernick, who hasn’t played in a NFL game since 2016, alleges he was blackballed by team owners after he began protesting police brutality by kneeling during the national anthem.
A number of artists had allegedly turned down half time show offers because of the Kaepernick controversy. Sources told Billboard that Scott agreed to do the gig on one condition: the NFL had to help him donate $500,000 to social justice accelerator Dream Corps.
