Madonna Down for Tour With Britney Spears Where They Would ‘Reenact’ Kiss

If you somehow missed Madonna and Britney Spears’ kiss at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, you might have a chance to experience it in person soon.
In an Instagram Live session, Madonna said she’d love to tour with Spears and perhaps reproduce the special moment. When asked if she would do a world tour again, Madonna said, “Hell yeah, I have to. Stadium, baby. Me and Britney, what about that? Yeah, I’m not sure she’d be into it, but it would be really cool. We could, like, reenact the original kiss.”
It’s unclear what’s on the horizon for Spears following the end of her conservatorship with her father. The last time the singer performed was during her Britney: Live in Concert tour in October 2018. Back in December, she teased new music on Instagram, sharing a clip of her singing alongside the caption, “Pssss new song in the works…I’m gonna let you know what I mean.”
Madonna advocated for Britney during the #FreeBritney movement, taking to IG to write, “Give this woman her life back. Slavery was abolished so long ago! Death to the greedy patriarchy that has been doing this to women for centuries. This is a violation of human rights! Britney we coming to get you out of jail!”
Elsewhere in her IG Live session this week, Madonna discussed her new music and said she’s working with some other artists, without divulging any names.
“Oh my god I’m so dying to make new music, you can’t even imagine!” she said. “I feel like I’ve been deprived of air.”
