According to local reports, on Monday evening a person was stabbed to death at a Prince George County (Maryland) Popeye’s following a dispute over their popular chicken sandwich. The stabbing occurred in Oxon Hill, a Washington D.C. suburb. Said dispute reportedly occurred after a person cut in line.
Fox 5 DC says that the victim of the stabbing was found bleeding in the parking lot when police arrived to the scene. He was taken to a hospital afterward where he succumbed to his injuries.
This stabbing occurred just a day after Popeye’s brought the infamous sandwich back from a 9+ week-long hiatus. Detectives are currently searching for the suspect while trying to officially pin down a motive.
Back in September, a group of customers attempted to get the popular chicken sandwiches from a Houston Popeyes. One of the people in the group reportedly proceeded to pull out a firearm after being told they were sold out.
