Meek Mill Replies As Lil Duval Says ‘Billionaires See Humans As Livestock’

Written by on February 19, 2022

Meek Mill is defending some of his billionaire friends.

After Lil Duval tweeted on Friday that “real billionaires see humans as livestock,” warning his fans to keep that in mind before they “glorify and praise one,” Meek was quick to share his own thoughts about the nation’s wealthiest, as HotNewHipHop initially reported.

“I got some black, white, asian billionaire friends,” Meek wrote. “… this a lie!”

He then continued in another tweet, reacting to the news of Mitchell & Ness being acquired by Meek, Lil Baby, Jay-Z, and Michael Rubin’s Fanatics, calling Hov and Rubin “one of them.”

“They do a lot and don’t have to verses people who make millions and don’t do nothing for their own people,” Meek shared of his business associates.

As for the Mitchell & Ness deal itself, the Philadelphia-based company is close to home for Meek, with a source close to the deal telling Complex that the purchase was for $250 million. The deal was 75 percent Fanatics, 25 percent other involved parties—which includes Jay, Rubin, Meek, Baby, Maverick Carter, the D’Amelio family, and others. Mitchell & Ness CEO Kevin Wulff will remain in his position but report to Joe Bozich, President of Fanatics Brands.

“Fashion is cyclical, but classics are forever. Mitchell & Ness is a true classic,” Jay-Z said of the acquisition. “I was an early adopter of this brand, as well as a part of a departure from athletic wear. I’m proud to play a small role in bringing it back, and in some cases, introducing the authenticity and quality of the Mitchell & Ness brand to a new generation.”
