Men Charged With Kidnapping Woman Who Allegedly Rejected Their Advances

Written by on April 23, 2022

Two men have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a woman who turned them down.

According to Newsweek, the incident took place on March 20 at an Exxon gas station in Decatur, Georgia, where 21-year-old Quentin Williams and 19-year-old Rodrequicge Allen allegedly made advances toward the woman. Shortly after the victim rejected their offers, the men forced the woman into the trunk of a car and the fled the scene. Authorities say the men eventually let the woman go after she convinced them “her cousin was following the car.”

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office confirmed she was let out on the side of Wesley Chapel Road, just a few miles away from the gas station.

Law enforcement identified the suspects after reviewing the gas station’s surveillance footage and referencing social media posts. A task-force made up of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, the DeKalb Police Department Gangs Unit, and U.S Marshals obtained arrest warrants for the men, who were eventually apprehended on Wednesday. Each of the suspects were charged with felony kidnapping. Allen was hit with an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or first offender probationer.

According to Newsweek, the men are currently being held in DeKalb County Jail without bond.

The victim’s age has not been confirmed.
