Metro Boomin Delivers New Project ‘Not All Heroes Wear Capes’
Written by SOURCE on November 2, 2018
Metro Boomin came through with a post-Halloween treat—just as many of you predicted.
After keeping a low profile throughout 2018, the platinum-selling hit-maker returned with a new project called Not All Heroes Wear Capes. Metro began teasing the release last week with cryptic billboards in NYC and Atlanta, as well as mysterious social media posts.
Naturally, the posts sparked many theories and even more questions. Would Metro deliver a solo project, or did he have another collaborative record up his sleeve? The latter seemed more likely, especially after Offset and 21 Savage seemingly teased the drop on social media, tweeting Metro’s producer tag and “1130,” respectively.
The tweets led many to believe the trio would drop a sequel to their 2017 collaborative album Without Warning, which abruptly hit streaming services on Halloween night. And we can’t forget that September Instagram post, in which Offset announced he, 21, and Metro were “cookin’ sum special.”
Was Offset referring Not All Heroes Wear Capes? Or do the artists have something else in store? It’s honestly anyone’s guess at this point.
While we hold our collective breath for Without Warning 2, you can stream Not All Heroes Wear Capes now on Apple Music or below via Spotify. The project boasts features from Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Gunna, Young Thug, Swae Lee, Wiz Kid, Drake, Gucci Mane, Kodak Black, and Offset.
The project marks Metro’s first full-length release since 2017’s Double or Nothing with Big Sean.
