Michelle Obama brought her Becoming tour to the Tonight Show Tuesday night, complete with a quick look back at how she felt the day of the inauguration of this imbecile.

“Yeah, it’s like ‘Bye Felicia,'” Obama said when one of the late night Jimmys held up a photo of her and Barack from that day. “A lot was going on that day. That was a day. And right before that, my daughters’ friends decided they needed a sleepover for the last day. I was like ‘Are you guys kidding me? We’re leaving. You gotta take all your stuff, pick it up. The blankets, the bears.’ They’re all crying, I’m like ‘Get out. We’ve got to go!’ So there was that and then the Tiffany’s box. It was just, you know, a lot.”

However, Obama—and this is something we could probably all stand to hear more of given the current state of everything—there’s still reason for hope. “I am because, Jimmy, everywhere I go I get to see young people and we all owe young people that optimism, that hope,” she said when asked if she was optimistic about the future. “What’s the alternative? And they come into this world, as you see with your little girls, with so much promise, with so much openness. We’re the ones that shut them down. And for the next generation that’s coming up, the next leaders, they need to know that their story can be my story and that is the truth of my journey.”

Obama and this particular late night Jimmy (i.e. the same one who notoriously tousled that aforementioned imbecile’s “hair” in 2016) also discussed marriage, Barack’s former tardiness, and more. In another segment, the two surprised 30 Rock tourists on the elevator:
