Netflix has another Millie Bobby Brown project on deck.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant is developing a film called A Time Lost, based on an original story by Millie and her older sister, Paige Brown. The movie will reportedly center on two Long Island families whose long-standing feud comes to a head after one of their daughters is diagnosed with cancer.
“We are so grateful to Netflix for their confidence in us and this beautiful story, which we have spent years writing and developing,” the sisters said in a statement. “It’s about friendship, family and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down. It’s been a labor of love, literally.”
The 15-year-old Stranger Things star will produce the project through PCMA Productions. Anna Klassen, who is penning the script for Netflix’s Dorothy and Alice film, will adapt the screenplay.
“Millie is an extraordinary creative talent. We’ve been lucky to have her in our family from the beginning of her career,” said Lisa Nishimura, Netflix’s vice president of independent film and documentary features. “It is a genuine thrill to witness Millie bring her distinct vision to the screen, now as a writer and producer, alongside her sister on this wonderful film.”
Earlier this summer, it was announced that Millie would produce and star in Enola Holmes, a film based on Nancy Springer’s book series about Sherlock Holmes’ little sister. Millie will portray the titular character; Henry Cavill and Sam Claflin have also signed on to star in the project.
