Mother of Nipsey Hussle’s Daughter Says She’s ‘Pissed Off’ Over Custody Battle

Tanisha Foster, the mother of Nipsey Hussle‘s daughter Emani Asghedom, was in court on Monday and was not given custody of the child, TMZ reports. Foster said she was “pissed off” about the court’s ruling after being asked by the publication. The results of the hearing were sealed.
Emani will remain in the custody of Nipsey’s sister Samantha. Nipsey’s family has been arguing that Foster is not fit to care for the 10-year-old girl. Emani has been living with Samantha since the rapper’s death this past March. Samantha previously said that she wants “to ensure the continued stability for Emani and ensure that she will be able to maintain her current and ongoing relationship” in a petition to receive legal guardianship rights of Emani.
Foster was granted 20 minutes with her daughter while at court. She reportedly hadn’t seen the child for “months.”
Earlier in the day, TMZ reported that an arrest warrant was issued for Foster in relation to an ongoing DUI case. Foster was arrested on charges of DUI a few years ago. She reportedly didn’t show up to a mandatory court date, which led the judge to revoking her probation and issuing the aforementioned warrant. It’s not the only time Foster has been in trouble with the law. In 2006, she was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting arrest and in 2007 she was charged with vandalism, annoying phone calls, and disturbing the peace.
