N.O.R.E. Rescinds Andrew Tate’s ‘Drink Champs’ Invite, Says He Was ‘Joking’

Rapper and podcaster N.O.R.E. has rescinded an invite for alleged human trafficker and renowned misogynistic influencer Andrew Tate to appear on Drink Champs.
Late on Friday (March 31), before April Fools’ Day arrived, N.O.R.E. posed a question to his Twitter followers. “Do we want Andrew Tate on Drink Champs?” he asked. He shared the tweet the same day Tate—alongside his brother Tristan and their two associates Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu–were released from jail and placed on house arrest.
One fan asked if N.O.R.E. hadn’t learn from platforming the artist formerly known as Kanye West’s hateful rhetoric when he appeared on Drink Champs. “I did my bad!!!” he added.
He later retweeted a clip of the two Tate brothers being released from jail, but crucially shared it on April Fools’ Day. “Legends!!!” he wrote alongside the footage.
After N.O.R.E. was hit with lots of criticism in the replies, he suggested that he wasn’t being all that serious. “I was joking!!!” he said in response to someone asking what Tate even contributes to the state of hip-hop, and society at large, even.
Perhaps he’s merely trolling his fans, but he did later share a picture of him hanging out with controversial Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Tate and his associates were arrested on human trafficking and sex abuse charges back in January. He has denied the allegations against him but leaked text messages suggested that he told one alleged victim he “love[d] raping [her].”
