The masters of the deep ball showcased their range in the 2020 NBA 3-Point Contest earlier tonight.
In a contest for the ages, shooting was as hot as ever. The floor to even get a tiebreak out of first round was a score of 26, the number posted by Washington’s Davis Bertans. Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns and Buddy Hield of the Sacramento Kings each scored 27 in the opening frame. Then, in an equally impressive showdown in the finals, Hield hit his last money ball to score 27, beating Booker’s 26 and Bertans’ 22 to claim the trophy.
Hield continued a big night for the “Big Stage/Parade” Nike Kobe 5, wearing the shoe to victory. While he didn’t win, hometown hero Zach LaVine won the sneaker battle by being the first NBA player to compete while wearing the Adidas YZY Basketball. Take a look at every sneaker worn in the 2020 NBA Dunk Contest below.
