Nicki Minaj Teases New Alter Ego “Queen Sleeze” for Upcoming Album

Nicki Minaj is preparing to introduce another alter ego.
The Grammy-nominated rapper confirmed the news Saturday, during a Q&A session via Twitter. One fan asked if Nicki’s next project would see the return of one of her classic alter egos—Roman Zolanski, the Harajuku Barbie, Nicki Lewinsky, etc.—or someone completely new. Nicki told the Barbz they can expect the latter.
“Queen Sleeze,” she wrote, followed by a devil emoji.
So, what can fans expect from Queen Sleeze? Well, it sounds like she’s someone to be feared.
“She’s more calm but way deadlier,” Nicki went on to say. “My husband always says he’s more afraid when I talk quiet then when I yell. Lmao. He said that’s how he knows when I’m dead tf serious.”
Nicki also confirmed that she had a title for her fifth studio album—the follow-up to 2018’s Queen; however, she did not provide any hints.
The Q&A session went down just a day after Nicki delivered “Yikes”—a track she claims she was bullied into releasing.
“Yikes” had generated controversy before its official drop, as the preview included a lyric that was perceived as disrespectful toward Civil Rights figure Rosa Parks: “All you bitches Rosa Parks/Uh-oh Get your ass up,” she was heard rapping.
Nicki claimed she was initially unaware of the backlash, and confirmed “Yikes” was not an official single.
“It’s not my single, because the single will be launched with the visual,” she said during a sit-down with her manager Irving Azoff. “This is a setup song with no video. Please don’t kill me, y’all. You guys asked me to put it out—don’t forget!”
Stay tuned as more information about Nicki’s album becomes available.
