Nike Air Fear of God Spring/Summer 2019 Collection Release Date

A handful of rumors have been floating around regarding Nike’s latest work with Fear of God’s Jerry Lorenzo ever since the first collection released late last year. Some official news has finally surfaced regarding the Nike Air Fear of God Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
The new range will introduce two brand new footwear silhouettes into the fold: the Air Fear of God Raid and Air Fear of God Moc. The Air Fear of God Raid takes obvious cues from the Air Raid, a popular blacktop basketball model from the ’90s the designer originally fell in love with when he saw a classmate wearing it in high school. Its most obvious similarity is its crisscrossing nylon straps.
“When the kid walked in the classroom with the Air Raid, no one told me that I was supposed to like the Air Raid. I was just drawn to it, the design, the colors. It was like, oh my God, what is that?” Lorenzo said in an official press release. “It became interconnected with all these other real emotional things that were happening at the time of the shoe.”
Along with three colorways of the Air Fear of God Raid, the official lookbook also showcases the more casual Air Fear of God Moc and two vibrant colorways of the Air Fear of God 1. Basketball-inspired apparel crafted with Lorenzo’s signature design language rounds out the collection.
