Odell Beckham Jr. Reportedly Said ‘I Can’t Get a Ball to Save My Life’ During Browns Loss

The hits keep on coming for Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., and the hapless Cleveland Browns.
The Browns fell to the Denver Broncos 24-19, bringing the team’s record to 2-6. But with the game on the line, the quarterback missed an opportunity to throw the ball to the star receiver on fourth down. A CBS reporter caught Beckham Jr. fuming on the sidelines afterwards, and reported that OBJ said “I can’t get a ball to save my life’ after that fourth down.”
Odell definitely looked upset on the sideline, as some pointed out that the star receiver couldn’t even sit next to Mayfield after the botched play. Beckham caught the ball 5 times for 87 yards on Sunday.
According to a reporter for Cleveland.com, Odell said that he doesn’t remember saying those words. “Controversy sells,” he said.
You’d think the Browns would have their hands full already, but Beckham and wide receiver Jarvis Landry were told by NFL officials that they needed to change their cleats at halftime due to the league’s uniform policy. If they declined to do so, the players would sit out until they adhered to the rules.
OBJ decided to get rid of his Joker cleats, and both players decided to play the rest of the game with different cleats that adhered to the rules, ESPN reports.
