Odell Beckham Jr. x Nike Air Max 720 ‘Multi-Color/Hyper Pink’ CK2531-900 Release Date

Odell Beckham Jr. might have been traded from the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns this offseason, but the superstar wideout is staying put on Team Nike. In the spirit of Air Max Day, OBJ took to Instagram today to show off his latest collaboration with the brand.

The model of choice this time around is the Air Max 720. However, the upper on this particular pair is quite different than the 720s that you will currently see at retailers. The synthetic upper and usual overlays on each side panel have been done away with in favor of a more traditional mesh, suede, and nubuck build. Vibrant pink suede wraps the toe and heel, while blue suede hits can be found on the toe and heel. A grey overlay with volt mesh netting covers each side panel. The main detail on the upper is the colorful Coogi sweater-esque pattern gracing the toe box and ankle collar. 

Beckham Jr.’s colorful Air Max 720 sits atop a massive 720-degree Air bubble and translucent outsole. Cork insoles emblazoned with OBJ’s personal logo give the project a premium touch.

According to @pyleaks on Twitter, this collaboration is slated to hit select retailers on June 21 for $200.

UPDATE (06/07): Initially previewed by Odell Beckham Jr. on Air Max Day this past March, there is now a release date for the NFL superstar’s upcoming Air Max 720. According to German boutique Solebox, the colorful pair will be dropping on June 12. The first 20 customers lucky enough to purchase a pair at Solebox Berlin will receive limited edition custom packaging and get to meet the man himself. A stateside release date has yet to be confirmed.

UPDATE (06/10): Following this weekend’s exclusive launch at Solebox, the Odell Beckham Jr. x Nike Air Max 720 will receive a wider launch on June 21. An official look is included below courtesy of @j23app.
