PACIFISM Takes to LFWM for Their AW20 “Higher Power” Showcase

PACIFISM explores the unique idea of a “Higher Power” as they took to London Fashion Week Men’s 2020 for a flawless showcase.
Stepping into Autumn/Winter 2020, PACIFISM looks to the individualised concept of a Higher Power as being rooted in the natural world, the universe, and religion. The exploration frames the messaging, symbols, colours, textures, and silhouettes that find themselves as the driving force of human’s experiences with the Divine, inspiring each corner of the collection’s apparel line up.
At its core, Autumn/Winter 2020 is a personal story told by designer Talal Hizami, allowing a nostalgic aura to drive the direction of the collection. Hizami’s take on the famed cable knit sweater sees classic piece uniquely refitted as a pair of pants, while plaid checks throughout the lineup evoke images of school uniform. Furthermore, the collection evokes imagery of peace and love throughout, with an elongated peace sign offered as direct representation. Pulling the collection together is an earthly palette, ranging from brown through orange, into purple and blue, emphasising clean-cut lines and intricate detailing.
