People Are Losing It Over Joe Burrow’s Record-Breaking Peach Bowl Performance

As expected, Joe Burrow absolutely dominated the 2019 Peach Bowl.
The LSU quarterback completed 21 of 27 pass attempts for 403 yards and seven touchdowns in the first half of Saturday’s game against the Oklahoma Sooners. It was not only an impressive performance, it was also historic, as Burrow set the record for the most TD passes in a College Football Playoff game, the most TD passes in a Peach Bowl, and the most TD passes in a single game for LSU. Tigers wide receiver Justin Jefferson caught four the scoring passes, which also set a new CFP record for the most scoring catches in a game.
But the 2019 Heisman winner wasn’t done. In the third quarter, Burrow threw TD No. 8, breaking the FBS record for TD passes in a bowl game.
Following his Heisman win, Burrow became the favorite to be selected first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, which would secure his spot with the Cincinnati Bengals.
