Play This Fan-Made Version of ‘Snake’ Featuring Kevin Durant

While being called a snake is a bad thing, there have been a lot of beloved “snakes” in sports culture. Of course, there’s the Texas rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Then there’s the Black Mamba, Kobe Bean Bryant, who welcomed being the NBA’s heel so much that he became the league’s antihero. But Kevin Durant hasn’t been able to twist this moniker into something positive.
Since he left Russell Westbrook to join a 73-9 Golden State Warriors team, KD has been the most loathed player in the NBA. His perceived disloyalty has led to him being called a “snake” so many times that someone actually revived the classic snake cellphone game just to take a shot at KD.
On this free browser game, players can choose to have KD roam the various courts of teams he played on. In fact, players can even have him slither through the gym of the now-defunct Seattle Supersonics, but the creator makes a point to hammer home the fact that he’ll never play for the Knicks. To grow your KD snake, players have to add important events as well as people that Durant has rubbed the wrong way throughout his NBA career. This includes CJ McCollum, Draymond Green, Billy Donovan, the cupcake Westbrook posted when KD announced he was leaving for Golden State, and more. It also shows random comments about the event/person once KD eats them.
Once you die, you can either try again or “hit free agency” and join another team. There’s also the option to donate to Kevin Durant’s Charity Foundation just to prove that fans do respect the charitable contributions he makes to at-risk youth in his community.
