Premiere: Ambient Producer Willaris K Partners With Daniel Toole For “Cobaki Sky” Video

Several months ago, Australian ambient producer Willaris K released the stunning double single, “Natural Selection” / “Cobaki Sky”. Both tracks were critically lauded and the ascending auteur drew comparisons to greats like Brian Eno, Jon Hopkins and William Basinski. Now he’s back with a stunning visual treatment for the latter track, “Cobaki Sky”, in collaboration with Sydney-based visual artist Daniel O’Toole. The greyscale visuals that come with the track fizz and pop in an almost dizzying run of effects and abstract imagery, before gradually revealing behind them a sprawling cityscape and flashes of a barely visible portrait. Though the track is minimal in its arrangements, the combination of the dramatic visuals and vast soundscapes make for a truly epic experience.
