Premiere: Austrian Indie-Electro Trio Lex Audrey Tease New Album With “Winter II”

Vienna-based trio Lex Audrey have been bubbling up in their local scene and exporting their indie electro sound to global festivals for a couple of years now. Now the band, consisting of Niklas Pichler (vocals), Patrick Pillichshammer (drums and samples), and Lukas Staudinger (synth and bass), are preparing for the release of their debut album, No Intention Of Changing The World, due February 8. Ahead of that, they’re today dropping the album’s lead single, “Winter II” (due February 1). The new single is a shining example of the band’s danceable yet melancholic grandeur. With a driving rhythm at its heart and Pilcher’s infectious vocals taking centre stage, it’ll be worth looking out for the full album to see if the rest hits this standard.
