Premiere: H.E.R. Puts on for the Bay Area in New “Slide” Video f/ YG

H.E.R. is back with the official video for “Slide” featuring YG.
Directed by Mike Ho, the video serves as a love letter to the Bay Area, where the singer-songwriter was born and raised. We see shots of H.E.R.’s hometown of Vallejo, the West Oakland Station, the iconic Grand Lake Theater, as well as a nod to the area’s lowrider culture. The visual also includes footage from the artist’s inaugural Lights on Festival that took place last month in Concord, California. The music event is expected to return next year for two nights.
“Proud to represent my roots being from the Bay Area!” the Grammy award-winning artist told Complex. “I’ve always wanted to ghost ride the whip and it’s the perfect song to get hyphy! Shout out to the best side and YG!”
