Premiere: Liz Lokre Tries To “Help Myself” With Assistance From Adrian X

Hailing from Toronto, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Liz Lokre also spends much of her time between LA and London. Over the last few years she’s worked with producer and guitarist Adrian X who’s worked with the biggest names in Canada such as The Weeknd, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, and now one of the fruits of their labour is here for your ears with “Help Myself”. Produced by Adrian X, the guitar-focused instrumental allows Liz’s vocals to come to the fore, and that can only be a good thing as her voice is so good it would command your focus anyway.

Speaking with Complex via email, Lokre told Complex: “This is a song about healing and the moment I learned no one can do that work for you. When I listen to ‘Help Myself’ I think of how resilient the human spirit is… capable of risking so much in hopes that what’s on the other side of pain is worthwhile.”
