Premiere: Melbourne-Based RICEWINE Preaches The Importance Of “Selfluv” On Smoky New Jam

Back in 2017, Thai-Australian 20-year-old Talae Rodden, aka RICEWINE, first set out his artistic plans with a subtle blend of lo-fi hip-hop production with indie pop songwriting on debut single “Waterfall”. Since then he’s dropped two full length albums amid a steady run of single releases.
Now, with January’s “Ocean” still a recent memory, the Melbourne-based artist is back with his latest offering “Selfluv”, a collaboration that sees him team up with Amy “GUS” Gusman who joins Rodden on the chorus before closing the track with her own verse. A slight change in pace from his usual team-ups with rapper and long-time collaborator Brandon Eugene Smith, the contrast between Gusman’s feather-light tones and Rodden’s deeper vocals make for an appealing blend and one we hope to hear more of in the future.
“Selfluv” is officially released tomorrow, March 11.
