Premiere: Raze’s Keith Thompson Revamps House Classic “Break 4 Love” With Rocco Rodamaal

Written by on August 27, 2019

Raze’s iconic house anthem “Break 4 Love” dropped back in 1989, staying in the Top 40 for 16 weeks, and it’s just as effective on the dancefloor today. Created by Raze — aka New York multi-instrumentalist Vaughan Mason and soul singer Keith Thompson — the latter has now returned to breathe new life in to the track with French DJ and producer Rocco Rodamaal.

Jetting the track into 2019, Rodamaal supplies a much moodier instrumental, while retaining the ’80s shimmer and synth pop touches. Meanwhile, Thompson’s vocals sound even deeper and even richer than they did 30 years ago, bridging the gap between the two iterations perfectly.

“Break 4 Love” drops August 30 via Memories and will include three new remixes from Louie Vega, Karizma (Kaytronik) and Atjazz.
