Pusha-T Likes Tweet Comparing Drake’s ‘CLB’ Streams to ‘Donda’ Numbers

Written by on September 6, 2021

It seems Pusha-T is still praying for Drizzy’s downfall.

The Daytona rapper took to Twitter yesterday to like a tweet that noted Drake’s dwindling second-day streaming numbers for his new album Certified Lover Boy, which saw a notable decrease after an initial first-day rush shattered streaming records across the board.

According to XXL, which broke down both rapper’s numbers, Drake saw a dramatic decrease in listens while Kanye’s listens for Donda only grew since its official release on Aug. 29. The magazine’s tweet was quoted by the user @RapDose, who said they predicted something like this would happen:

That post was ultimately liked by Pusha.

“I predicted this,” the tweet reads. “I said drake’s day 1 is gonna be huge off the element of surprise then its just gonna drop. donda everyone heard in full 3 weeks before it dropped, still did these numbers and is only growing in streams. crazy!”

It’s worth noting King Push has hit the like button a mere 10 times on Twitter in 2021, hadn’t liked anything since late August, and that the tweet wasn’t an especially viral one.

After the same user asked the Clipse member how he’s doing, Push answered, “Living and loving life…oh, writing raps too.”

The beef between Pusha and Drake is nowhere near as volatile as it used to be, but the G.O.O.D. Music president has continued to cryptically express his dislike for the OVO head recently, even as Drizzy’s issues have shifted more towards his mentor ’Ye.

Pusha also recently liked an Instagram post that criticized Certified Lover Boy’s cover art, and was included in a highly discussed group chat with both Kanye and Drake when the issues between them were reignited after Drake dissed both artists on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal.”

Pusha-T isn’t the only MC coming to Kanye’s defense. Consequence dropped his own diss track aimed at Drake on Saturday after the latter leaked a Donda outtake called “Life of the Party,” an André 3000 collab where West took several shots at the Toronto rapper. “Since ‘Life of The Party got Leaked…I guess it’s Party Time #QueensAllDay,” Consequence wrote on Twitter before dropping “Party Time.”

Regardless of where people stand on the never-ending situation, there’s no denying Drizzy will take the No. 1 spot this week. Certified Lover Boy is predicted to move anywhere between 575,000 and 625,000 album equivalent units in its first week, which could be the biggest week for a record since Taylor Swift’s Folklore drop in July 2020.
