Quando Rondo is safe after the Georgia rapper was caught in the middle of a shooting that took place in Los Angeles on Friday.
TMZ reports several gunmen drove to a gas station in West Hollywood and opened fire, killing a young man. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he died. The suspects fled in a white sedan.
Meanwhile, footage of Quando has circulated around social media, showing the rapper speaking with police after the shooting.
The news arrives nearly two years after Rondo’s friend, Timothy “Lul Tim” Leeks, allegedly murdered King Von in November 2020.
The deadly incident occurred on Nov. 6, 2020, outside an Atlanta nightclub, where an altercation between two groups quickly escalated into gunfire. Von was among those who sustained gunshot wounds and was immediately transferred to a hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after.
During an interview with All Around TV last summer, Rondo revealed that club promoters don’t want to book him after the incident.
“Nobody want to book me because they’re terrified,” Rondo said. “That’s the truth. So many people calling like, I wish the fans let that sh*t go. As long as y’all talk about it. They’re hyping this sh*t up.”
He also addressed the death threats he’s faced because of his connection to the death of Von.
“However some shit come to me, that’s how I’m about to go about that shit,” Rondo said. “Death threat all you want to, bro, fuck that shit, that’s just some words, my n***a. Go do an action.”
