Quavo is Selling Sold-Out Popeyes Chicken Sandwiches for $1,000 Each

Quavo is capitalizing off the Popeyes chicken sandwich mania by selling them for $1,000 a pop.
The fried chicken eatery recently launched its new chicken sandwich on a brioche bun, and the internet went insane, debating if it was better than Chick-fil-A’s signature item. People were so excited about the sandwich that a number of Popeyes locations around the U.S. sold out of it within days. So Quavo took it upon himself to give the people what they want—but for a price.
The Migos rapper posted a clip of himself on Instagram, in which he’s selling Popeyes sandwiches out of the trunk of his car. While a sandwich retails for just $3.99, Quavo was (jokingly) selling each for $1,000. “I heard y’all boys was looking for them, they sold out everywhere,” he said while opening his trunk. “I got them things going for $1,000 a chicken.” He then opened a Popeyes bag full of the chicken sandwiches that everyone’s been lusting over.
As the great chicken sandwich debate of 2019 endured for a few days online, other fast-food chains—including Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, and Bojangles—tried to get in on the hype, but to no avail. For now, Popeyes reigns supreme, much to the dismay of the chain’s employees. Please see below.
