Quavo returns with his new track “Shooters Inside My Crib.”
The Migos member first teased the cut back in August 2021, posting a clip of a DrewFilmedIt-directed visual that was captioned: “On The Highway Goin Two Places!”
Months after the initial preview, fans were left wondering when the record would get an official release. It wasn’t until this week when Quavo took to social media to provide a quick update on the track, which he confirmed was still on the way.
“You asked, you shall receive,” he wrote. “Mastering in progress …”
You can check out the music video for “Shooters Inside My Crib” now up top via YouTube and stream the track below. The song will likely land on Quavo’s long-awaited follow-up to Quavo Huncho, his debut solo album that arrived back in 2018. The 30-year-old rapper has yet to announce an official release date for his next effort, but previously told Complex that it would arrive sometime in 2022.
Quavo briefly spoke about his next project during his and Yung Miami’s interview back in October, revealing it would offer something a little different than Migos’ Culture III album, which dropped in June 2021.
“A lot of melodies. [Migos] tended to put a lot of rap records on our albums, on Culture III this year,” he explained. “And we kind of missed some of that Kelly Price-type of vibes, some of them old melodic vibes. So that’s where I probably will come in. Of course, I’m going to hit them folks some of them ‘Straightening’ records, but more melodies.”
The track arrives just days after the fifth anniversary of Migos’ Culture and fourth anniversary of Culture II.
