Rae Sremmurd Continue Teasing ‘SremmLife 4’ With New Song “Torpedo”

Following a pair of singles earlier in the year, Rae Sremmurd have closed out 2022 with the energetic video for their new song “Torpedo.”
The Sonny Digital-produced track has been released with a street racing-heavy clip, which sees the two previewing their highly-anticipated fourth studio album. The clip even appears to reference the arrival of the record, with the number four set on fire showing up multiple times throughout.
Earlier this year, Sremmurd made their long-awaited return with summer-ready “Denial,” which they followed up with the video for “Community Dick,” which featured Flo Milli. The three songs the duo shared this year are expected to show up on their new album SremmLife 4, their first full-length since the 2018 triple album SR3MM, which consisted of a solo effort from each of the rappers and their third project together.
In an interview with GQ earlier this year, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi confirmed the project will see the address the murder of their stepfather. “It was crazy because I’ve never really talked about that,” Jxmmi said in the interview. “That was another thing that made me like sit down and just change up real quick.” He said that he “wasn’t ready” for what happened, but it acted as a reminder for him to “cherish people while they’re here.”
SremmLife 4 currently doesn’t have a release date, but it’s safe to assume the project will finally be arriving sometime in 2023. Watch the video for “Torpedo” up top, and listen to it below via Spotify.
