Remy Ma Is Understandably Over the Cardi B and Nicki Minaj Drama

Written by on November 7, 2018

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have seemingly squashed their longstanding beef, but the internet refuses to let the dust completely settle.

In the weeks leading up to the online truce, the rappers took some serious shots each other. There were accusations of shady business practices, allegations involving leaks, as well as conflicting stories about what really went down during their New York Fashion Week altercation. There was a lot of dirt thrown since the latter incident went down, so much so that Cardi and Nick’s respective fan bases are still feeling a little tight. So, naturally, the hosts of Revolt TV’s State of the Culture had to address this mess—but there was one particular commentator who was completely disinterested.

Can you guess who this was? Here’s a hint: She also took shots at Nicki, most notably in a seething track called “ShETHER.”

“I’m different,” Remy told co-hosts Joe Budden, Jinx, and Scottie Beam, insisting she would’ve handled the situation differently (8:15). “I’m not going to keep arguing with somebody. I don’t want to hear this. The part that made it the corniest, after everything for a whole 15 hours, they’re both like, ‘OK, let’s be friends now!'”

Budden seemed amused by how the feud abruptly ended: “That’s why it was great! They aired all the dirty laundry, and were like, there’s no beef!”

“I’m over it,” Remy said. “Joe, you know your ass is over it too. Stop it.”

Scottie shared Remy’s sentiment. The radio/TV personality said she was “tired” of the beef and believed there was nothing more to be said.

“They got their steam off they back, they got their receipts out,” she explained. “[…] Now that that’s done, now I can officially say no one gives a f**k anymore.”
