Rich the Kid’s Management Company Is Suing the Rapper for Over $3.5 Million

Written by on February 6, 2020

Rich the Kid‘s management company is taking the rapper to court.

Rich’s reps at Blueprint Artist Management have claimed in a new lawsuit that the rapper has shortchanged the company out of millions and violated the terms of their contract, TMZ reports. The company has alleged that it’s owed over $3.5 million in fees from a 2017 deal they struck with Rich, and while Blueprint has continuously asked for its money, the rapper hasn’t paid. Blueprint is suing for breach of contract and wants Rich to pay what he owes.

Complex has reached out to a rep for Rich the Kid for comment.

Rich dropped his most recent album The World Is Yours 2 last March. The project, which featured appearances from Lil Pump, Tory Lanez, Young Thug, Gunna, Takeoff, Big Sean, Miguel, Gucci Mane, Ty Dolla Sign, Nav, and others, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 by moving 42,000 album-equivalent units. Following the release, in December, he announced that he had left his label Interscope Records for a new deal with Republic Records.

To celebrate his deal, Rich dropped the Quavo-supporting song “That’s Tuff.” In 2019, Rich’s Rich Forever label also released the compilation project Rich Forever 4, which included appearances from the roster: Famous Dex, 83 Babies, Jay Critch, Yung Bino, and Airi. Other artists like Tg3 Thr33 and ASAP Ferg guested as well.
