Royce da 5’9″ Reacts to 6ix9ine’s Testimony: ‘Tekashi Better at Telling Than He Is Rapping
Written by SOURCE on September 19, 2019
Royce da 5’9″ is convinced 6ix9ine has found his calling.
On Wednesday, Tekashi returned to the stand to testify against alleged Brooklyn gang members Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack. The rapper, legal name Daniel Hernandez, previously told the court he decided to cooperate with prosecutors following his 2018 arrest on racketeering charges. His decision to testify against his co-defendants has resulted in a wave of backlash, with many dubbing 6ix9ine a snitch.
Royce shared his thoughts on the matter in a sarcastic tweet that also took aim at 6ix9ine’s rap skills:
Phonte of Little Brother also addressed the highly publicized case with a bit of comedy.
Back in February, 6ix9ine entered a plea deal in which he admitted to being involved with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The rapper also agreed to testify against his co-defendants in an effort to avoid the maximum 47-year prison sentence in 2020.
A number of other rappers and media figures have weighed in on 6ix9ine’s racketeering case and his decision to cooperate with the feds. Meek Mill used the opportunity to encourage his followers to be themselves rather than chase clout by adopting a facade.
Lil Durk also shared his 2 cents in a since-deleted tweet that simply read: “Fuck 69 snitch K.”
There was also this meme shared by Snoop Dogg, who had previously referred to 6ix9ine as a “snitch.” Snoop doesn’t specifically mention the DUMMY BOY artist in the Instagram post, but the timing makes it pretty clear who he is referencing.
You can check out other reactions to 6ix9ine’s testimony in the tweets below. The rapper is expected to take the stand once again this Thursday.
