Rudy Gobert Cries Over His All-Star Snub

Defense might win championships but it doesn’t get you to the All-Star Game. That’s what Rudy Gobert learned when he realized that he wasn’t going to Charlotte. The Utah Jazz center and reigning Defensive Player of the Year was visibly upset in a press event after the All-Star reserves were announced.
Though he had enough of a motive to be mad considering his stellar season, a look at Gobert’s contract revealed he had exactly a million reasons to be miffed.
Of course, you can’t cry at a press conference without the rest of the NBA and the wider basketball internet piling on. Draymond Green and Andre Igoudola both clowned Gobert for getting teary-eyed.
Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas, who hasn’t played a game this season, also chimed in.
Come on fam you are too big to be crying like that…

Others couldn’t help but see Gobert’s point. If the point of All-Star selection is to pick the best players in the NBA, then Gobert almost definitely belongs there.
