Russell Westbrook Releases Honor the Gift’s ‘Concrete Jungle’ Collection
Written by SOURCE on August 28, 2019
West Coast native Russell Westbroook pays tribute to California’s city life with Concrete Jungle—the latest collection from his apparel and clothing brand, Honor the Gift.
The newly released offering is perfect for the transitional seasons, as it includes a mix of long-sleeve and short-sleeve tees, jersey shorts, French terry pullover hoodies, bucket hats, and five-panel strapback caps. The use of bright colors, faded graphics, and a tie-dye-like wash effect also give off strong Southern California vibes, especially when set against an oceanside backdrop.
The brand describes the collection as the embodiment of “a heatwave in the Inner City. The idealistic California vacation narrates the sun soaked washes and worn down imagery, contrasted by the material that the Inner City is built on, concrete. Perceived as an unpleasant or challenging place to live, the concrete jungle is a symbol of pride and honor for the community that call it home.”
