Shoreline Mafia Associate Mac P Dawg Reportedly Killed in Los Angeles

Written by on April 7, 2020

Mac P Dawg, whose new Doley Bernays collab “Salt Shaker” was released earlier this month, was reportedly killed in Los Angeles late Monday night.

While official word on the apparent shooting death had not been released at the time of this writing, Adam22 and others reported the sad news overnight, stating that the Shoreline Mafia affiliate and celebrated young talent had been killed:

Complex has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for comment.

Earlier this week, Fenix Flexin informed fans that he would be leaving Shoreline Mafia to move forward “with my individual career and visions for myself and where I wanna be.” As the Mac P Dawg news broke overnight, he and other members of Shoreline shared tribute messages:

Over the past year, Mac P Dawg had amassed millions of views for his videos including the Ohgeesy collab “Let Me Know,” the Fenix Flexin collabs “Half n Half” and “Go Getters,” and more.

In a 2019 interview with AllHipHop, Mac reflected on his rise with Shoreline.

“Fenix was the first person I linked up with,” he said at the time. “I was a freshman, he was a junior. Even since middle school, I was always kicking it with people older than me. Didn’t hang with people my age. I was into the same bullshit as him. We were young delinquents, degenerates just doing dumb shit.”

RIP.
