Soulja Boy Slams Lil Durk, NBA YoungBoy for Dropping Album Same Day as Him

During a recent Instagram Live session, Soulja Boy dissed Lil Durk and YoungBoy Never Broke Again for planning to drop albums the same day as him.
“Lil Durk, you scary as fuck. If you gonna fight YoungBoy, go fight him, n***a,” said Soulja during the stream on Tuesday, May 9. “Fuck wrong with you, boy? I know you seen me announce my album, n***a … And the next day you gon’ hop on here talking ’bout you ‘Almost Healed.’ Man, you almost lame, n***a. Is y’all n****s gonna scrap or what y’all gonna do?”
He accused the two rappers of “sneak dissing” each other, and suggested they were “doing all type of weird shit” such as “painting y’all nails.”
His rant comes not long after Durk announced his new album Almost Healed will drop on Friday, May 12, and YoungBoy confirmed his new project Richest Opp will arrive on the same day. Soulja is reportedly planning to release his latest effort Soulja Season on the same day.
“May 12th, n***a, Soulja Season. Y’all n****s tripping,” he continued. “I’m finna outsell Lil Durk and YoungBoy at the same time. Add Lil Durk’s album sales and add YB album sales, add them together … This my date, n***a, May 12th. Y’all only tryna drop ’cause y’all seen me drop, n***a. … After this, I don’t wanna see no more n****s dropping on the same date as me, on God.”
Soulja Boy certainly isn’t lacking confidence in his latest project. YoungBoy and Lil Durk are mainstays on the Billboard 200 albums chart and frequently find their releasez in the top ten when they drop. Soulja, meanwhile, hasn’t charted on the Billboard 200 since he released The DeAndre Way back in 2010, which peaked at No. 90.
The Chicago rapper’s incendiary livestream happened the same day YoungBoy confirmed he will release a project the same day as Durk. “@lildurk you a bitch & yo nasty ass hoe and it’s shown,” wrote YoungBoy on Twitter, during which he also called out DJ Akademiks for suggesting the beef between the rapper and Durk had been resolved. “And @Akademiks you a pure Fat hoe who mouth gone be the reason. you from now on (‘invalid’) #RichestOpp. … @lildurk lol you ever realized you only get a buzz when one of your friends die. Think about it scary bum bitch you know I ain’t lying ha ha #fact.”
In response, Durk tweeted, “Idk nun I ain’t seen nun.” Durk and YoungBoy have been beefing ever since King Von’s death back in 2020.
