Steve Harvey Made Another Mistake at Miss Universe Pageant

Despite his epic mistake back in 2015, Steve Harvey has hosted the Miss Universe pageant for the past several years. His hosting of the pageant has usually gone without a hitch, that is, until Sunday night.
The comedian mistakenly announced the wrong winner during the National Costume category of the Miss Universe 2019 pageant, reminding many about his flub from nearly five years ago.
When an image of Miss Philippines Gazini Ganados in costume flashed on screen, Harvey called the woman he stood next to the winner of the competition and said “this is it right here, I thought I had on something fly.” Miss Malaysia Shweta Sekhon asked him for the microphone and corrected him. “It’s not Philippines,” she said. “It’s Malaysia.”
“Let me explain something to you. I just read that in the teleprompter,” he explained. “Ya’ll got to quit doing this to me. I can read. Now, they are trying to fix it now. See? This is what they did to me back in 2015 – played me short like that. This is Malaysia.”
In his opening monologue, Harvey poked fun at his 2015 mistake. “I’m hosting again. Fifth time. Can you believe it? I can’t,” he said, according to USA TODAY. “Ya’ll never really did let go of that Miss Colombia thing. I survived it all. When you fall, get up. Colombia has gotten over that, too. They’ve forgiven me. Well, not all of them. The cartel is still tripping a little bit.”
