Steve Kerr Makes “Hotline Bling” Joke When Asked About Drake’s Courtside Antics
Written by SOURCE on May 28, 2019
We assume that when you reach Steve Kerr‘s age, the allure of telling a dad joke, regardless of how outdated it may be, can get real difficult. So we’re just going to give Kerr, 53, a pass since he immediately recognized how corny his response was to a reporter’s question about Drake‘s courtside antics.
“I’m not worried about Drake,” the Golden State Warriors head coach said. “I called him on his cell phone earlier.” His joke was in reference to the rapper’s 2015 hit single “Hotline Bling.”
Drake was recently called out by Bucks Head Coach Mike Budenholzer for said courtside behavior. “I don’t know of any person attending the game that isn’t a player or coach that has access to the court,” Budenholzer said. “I don’t know how much he’s on the court. It sounds like you guys are saying a lot […] There’s certainly no place for fans—or whatever exactly is what Drake is for the Raptors—on the court. There’s boundaries and lines for a reason. The league is pretty good about that.”
