Steph Curry failed to hit a three-pointer for the first time this season against the Bucks on Thursday. Milwaukee annihilated 134-111 at the Bay and Steph suffered a groin injury, forcing him to sit out the entire fourth period. He underwent an MRI after the game, and coach Steve Kerr updated the media on Friday, telling them it was basically just a strained groin.

Despite the good news, Steph is a scratch for Saturday’s game against the Nets

“It’s something that we’re going to evaluate over the next few days,” Kerr said. “He’s still sore, it’s a strained groin, basically. The MRI was encouraging, it’s going to be kind of a day-to-day thing. Obviously, we’re not going to do anything crazy. He’s going to be out until he’s healthy and ready to go.”

Quinn Cook will replace Steph in the starting lineup against Brooklyn, and Curry will be joined in street clothes by DeMarcus Cousins (still no return timetable, but likely in the new year), Draymond Green, and Shaun Livingston.
